blog-imony

In honor of my very first giveaway with my awesome friend from ThisMessySeason, I wanted to share a bit of my story and why I started blogging to begin with. It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for years but I guess just the fear of failure or feeling like a huge waste of time along with not really having any idea what I was doing just convinced me to put it off. Over and over.

I’ve wanted to share about my life as a Navy wife, then when we had kids there were so many things about being a mom that I wanted to share. I wanted to share about the things I’m learning in my walk with the Lord and how that’s translating into my every day life. I have so many interests and hobbies that I knew I could probably write for days about so many things but then also felt like that was way too broad and no one would want to read about everything. Except then I realized that I’m basically a normal mom and all moms have about 74 things they’re doing and interested in so why should I narrow my blog down to just one or two?? Maybe most people don’t care to read my post about having two kids under two, but they want to know about clean skincare products. The more I thought about it, the more it just made sense.

Then I met my friend Kala who has been blogging for several years now. We had several conversations about the possibility of me starting a blog and what that might look like, but one thing she said that just stuck out to me was, “I think every mom should have a blog.” Every mom! Isn’t that just the sweetest thought? We all have a story about the unique experiences of our daily life- our thoughts, opinions, ideas, adventures, the things we love or struggle with. We all have a unique life that is worth sharing with others.

So here I am, insanely excited for whatever the future holds and eager to work hard for my dream. I know that, blog or not, God has an amazing plan for each of our lives and I am so thankful to get to share just a glimpse of His blessings with you.
